Administrators Steve Bracks and Jenny Macklin, were appointed by the National Executive in June 2020 and the reform process has evolved quickly, with Victorian ALP draft rule changes approved by National Executive: Administrators
- 27 November 2020: National Executive considered the 37 reform recommendations arising.
- 29 January 2021: National Executive endorsed the rule changes to effect these 37 recommendations.
- 1 February 2021: Macklin and Bracks delivered their final report to ALP members.
- 1 February 2021: the incoming Interim Governance Committee – Susie Byers, Linda White (Left faction); Ben Davis, Michael Donovan (Right faction); and Lloyd Williams Industrial left faction.
- The first act of the committee was the draft rule changes approved that support the 37 recommendations of the Macklin-Bracks report.
Open Labor welcomes the new incoming Victorian Interim Governance Committee, but over 100 branch members have signed an Open Labor letter to the ALP National Executive requesting inclusion of a non-factional member on the Victorian ALP Interim Governance Committee.
