New Branch Consultative Committee: Expressions of interest sought
We are establishing a Branch Consultative Committee to advise the Interim Governance Committee on how best to transition Victorian local branches to one branch per state seat, a change recommended by Steve Bracks and Jenny Macklin and endorsed by the National Executive. The new committee will be formed of 7 members and help the Interim Governance Committee work through issues such as new branch executives, branch assets, campaign and fundraising practices and branch meeting protocols to accommodate the changes. The committee will have a key role to play in helping shape the culture, activities and vibrant future of new branches as this important change takes place.
The committee will last approximately a year as these matters are concluded.
We are now taking Expressions of Interest for those wishing to sit on this committee, or simply to provide feedback on what you think are the most important things to consider in this transition, please complete this form by Friday 19 March: https://forms.gle/wW8AZyL5NbXT6b9y5.
If you need help or assistance in making your views known, please contact Victorian Branch by emailing your Assistant Secretaries Nicola Castleman or Cameron Petrie.
