Info

From our friends at the Australian Jewish Democratic Society:

The Seventh Renate Kamener Oration will be held on Sunday 11th September. Julian Burnside QC, will talk on the topic: "Is Islamaphobia the new anti-Semitism?"

As in previous years, all funds raised, both through the oration entrance charge and donations, are used to provide bursaries for Indigenous students studying at the University of Melbourne who are residents of Ormond College.

Details of the oration are on the attached flyer and our websitewww.renatekamener.org

This year it will again be a late afternoon event (4pm), and will be held in the beautiful surrounds of Ormond College itself. At its conclusion, light refreshments will be served. We hope you will be able to join us. A location map is attached, and parking should be available in College Crescent and Royal Parade, with some disabled parking in the college grounds. And of course the Elizabeth Street tram (route 19) stops virtually at the gate.

If you are not able to attend the oration, we hope you will consider supporting the scholarship appeal. Donation forms are attached both in Word and PDF format. These can be completed and emailed or mailed to us prior to the event. If you would prefer to donate via a bank transfer, please email Yael Winikoff at co@adjs.org.au
